I’ve always had to live with the paradox of liking to eat until I’m full and not wanting to eat so much that I would gain fat. Fortunately I don’t have to worry about this anymore because now I can enjoy low-calorie and very filling meals using negative-calorie foods.
It’s physically impossible to get negative calories from any food but what this means is that your body expends more energy in the processing, digesting and eliminating of the food than it gets calories from it!
Also, negative-calorie foods almost by definition are good fat burning foods because they deliver a variety of phytonutrients (that themselves can increase fat burning over carbohydrate burning) and minerals and vitamins because they’re all natural foods like vegetables and fruits.
Because of they’re very low caloric density, these foods could essentially be eaten in unlimited quantities and fat would fall off, though you’d still have to eat a certain amount of calories so that your metabolism wouldn’t be downgraded and your body entering fat-storage mode (because it thinks its starving and needs to protect you).
The premise of all the best negative-calorie fat burning foods is that they contain a lot of water. In essence, even drinking a glass of water before a meal will make you feel full a lot sooner and will end in you eating less than would have. But why have just water when you could drink a cup of green tea that has been proven in numerous studies to benefit weight loss?
However, in whole foods, the water is mixed in a starch and fiber matrix, making you feel even fuller. Notice that the following list of fat burning foods all contain lots of water! The best tasting choice in my opinion is an apple, preferably one that isn’t extremely sweet, though maybe sweet enough so that it sates our inherent sweet tooth as well, so we won’t have the urge to eat calorie-dense candies.
Other foods like celery, lettuce, onions and greens just aren’t that tasty to me, though I do use them in copiously in foods. Another tasty alternative is cucumber (about 16 calories per cup) and why not get rid of those gluten-filled noodles and buy some awesome kelp-noodles in stead, which are only 6 calories per serving.
Now eat ‘em up and feel full and happy with ounces and pounds sliding off!
